Job description
The director Design and Construction, EMEA will oversee the delivery of Four Seasons’ Design & Construction obligations to the owners’ project teams of hotel and multi-use project, to ensure that the design and construction meets the aesthetic and functional expectations agreed between Owner and Four Seasons. This role will be also assist in the provision of pre-agreement support to Development in their pursuit of new projects and conversions in EMEA, including Site and Program Assessments.
The role is based in Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Dubai Corporate office, reporting to Vice President, Design & Construction. In this role, close working relations with internal and external stakeholders is needed which includes overseeing the workload and progress of all projects in the region.

Key Functional Competencies
Assist Four Seasons EMEA development group in the review and assessment of future development opportunities.
This responsibility will include, occasional travel to new project sites and preparation of development assessment reports.
Attend project meetings on behalf of Toronto based D&C manager periodically as needed or required by the D&C manager.
Undertake periodic review of ongoing projects during construction phase.
Prepare progress reports and communicate updates and project issues to Toronto based D&C manager.
Prepare Design Briefs for new projects.
Undertake review of regional consultants and products and provide recommendations to Toronto.
This role will also be a ‘real-time’ point of contact for owners of active projects in the region. In this capacity, the candidate will offer an added level of service to the D&C role by being available to field calls and help expedite resolution of owner issues as they arise.
Ability to co-ordinate complex issues in a knowledgeable and sensitive manner with a variety of parties such as: senior management, development partners, owners and consultants.

Technical Skills & Knowledge
Experience and knowledge of: Hotel Space Planning, (including Front of the House / Back of the House) Construction methods and materials, Regional Industry Standards and Practices, Regional Building Code requirements, critical Coordination aspects of Interior Design and MEP systems.
Expected - Use of Excel, Acrobat, and basic Autocad
Preferred - Ability to communicate in Arabic and support project owners
