Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower) has announced that they have connected 75 new buildings to its services this year.
“This is an important milestone for us as district cooling is an environment-friendly technology and the way forward to achieving a green economy. We’re pleased that developers have realised the importance of this technology and in the coming years, we will see more building owners and developers converting from conventional chilling methods to district cooling,” said Ahmad Bin Shafar, CEO of Empower.
Empower’s Command Control Centre aims to help developers reduce dependence on conventional methods of cooling. The company has introduced new technologies that guarantee energy efficiency and higher cost savings.
“Having 75 buildings register with us so far in the year is indeed an achievement and we’re confident that our new set of solutions will register more growth in the coming months,” added Bin Shafar.
The Command Control Centre provides real-time access to information, define supply and consumption patterns in each building unit through the click of a button.
Empower currently operates more than 1.250mn tonnes of refrigeration (TR), providing environmentally responsible district cooling services to large-scale real estate developments such as Jumeirah Group, Business Bay, Jumeirah Beach Residence, Dubai International Financial Centre, Palm Jumeirah, Jumeirah Lake Towers, Ibn Battuta Mall, Discovery Gardens, Dubai Healthcare City, Dubai World trade Centre Residences, and Dubai Design District, among others.
The company also announced good progress towards deploying its services to many other buildings in the coming months.
