August 10, 2017

undefinedMore than 75% of the $2.4bn Fourth Ring Road project in Makkah is complete, senior government officials have announced.

During a site supervision, Makkah governor Prince Khaled Al-Faisal said the new road will ease traffic congestion and pedestrian traffic in Makkah and neighbouring Hajj sites, Arab News has reported.

The project is being supervised by the region’s development authority and implemented by the Makkah Secretariat.

Stretching more than 65km long and 100 metres wide, the road will consist of four traffic lanes in each direction of the dual carriageway and will be integrated with the Makkah road network and bus and train services.
