Dubai Municipality has awarded Arabtec Engineering Services an AED 155mn ($33mn) variation to its DS189 sewerage and drainage contract.
The project is located in the Al Khawaneej area and is expected to take 15 months to complete.
Group Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Hamish Tyrwhitt said: “Consistent with our objective to diversify our business, this award builds on our infrastructure backlog and longstanding relationship with Dubai Municipality.”
Arabtec Engineering Services has previously completed and delivered 12 projects to Dubai Municipality with a combined value of AED 909mn over the last 9 years.
In April the company was awarded a AED 433mn deal to build sewerage and drainage infrastructure in Jebel Ali.
Earlier this week Dubai-listed parent Arabtec Holding reported a first half net profit of AED 113mn, almost double the AED 57mn booked in 1H 2017.
