Arada has awarded three contracts for the construction of close to 800 homes at its two major projects in Sharjah.
Modern Building Contracting Company (MBCC) will build three apartment blocks at the Aljada development comprising a total of 366 units.
Mobilisation is currently taking place onsite, and construction will begin by the end of the year. The firm is already working on the first four Areej Apartment blocks, where construction began at the end of July.
Intermass Engineering & Contracting Company (Intermass) clinched the contract to build the first three Rehan Apartments blocks, also based within Phase 1 of Aljada.
Construction on these three buildings, which will include 234 units, is expected to begin this month, Arada said.
Intermass also won the main construction contract for Phase 3 of Nasma Residences, consisting of 192 villas and townhouses, and is due to start work onsite by the end of 2019. This is a follow up deal for Intermass after it won the package for Phase 1 and split the award for Phase 2 with Klampfer Middle East.
HE Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Chairman of Arada, said: “We are pleased to be confirming the construction of 800 well-designed and expertly built homes for Sharjah, a market where demand for the types of communities Arada is building remains exceptional.”
Arada did not reveal the values of any of the deals, which come as the developer gears up to hand over its first ever homes, at Nasma Residences, by the end of this year. The project is scheduled to be fully completed by the end of next year while Aljada will be delivered in phases between 2019 and 2025.
