ARADA has awarded the main construction contracts for Phase 2 of its Sharjah-based Nasma Residences, the developer has announced.
Sharjah-based Intermass Engineering & Contracting and Klampfer Middle East, a joint venture between Basma Group and KBW Investments, were both chosen for the project.
The scope of works include the construction of 184 villas and townhouses, and handover is scheduled for Q1 2019.
Intermass was also awarded the main construction contract for Phase 1 of the project, which was launched in March 2017.
In total, the project contains 800 homes, and is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2019, said the Sharjah-based developer.
The enabling works on the 5mn sq ft project began onsite in September last year, and Phase 1 is on track to be delivered to buyers by the end of 2018.
Chairman Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi said: "This year is a hugely important one for Nasma Residences, as we work towards handing over our first homes in the final quarter.
“These contracts for Phase 2 of this community shows our commitment to homebuyers to move quickly and deliver on schedule."
Nasma Residences is located at the intersection of Emirates Road (E611) and Maliha Road, adjacent to the newly developing Tilal City.
As well as homes, the community will also feature a school, a community centre, a children’s nursery, a medical clinic and a shopping mall - Nasma Square.
